About Us Bay Building Group is a market leader when it comes to insurance building in Australia. Operating nationally, for 35+ years we have specialised in repairs to domestic and commercial properties damaged through insurable events such as fire, storm, flood, impact, and malicious damage. About The RoleThe Estimator is considered an integral role within the Bay Building and is required to estimate and deliver accurate budgets, quotes and cost estimates for small to medium insurance claims across both residential and commercial damaged properties.The Estimator will oversee accurately preparing and submitting causation reports, quotations, budget estimates, and building repair scopes while collaborating closely with the Department Manager and the Major Loss & Specialty Builds team, including project coordinators and supervisors, therefore it calls for a capable applicant with extensive knowledge of both construction and insurance industries.   • Ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Thorough understanding of the construction process from concept to handover and WHS requirements
  • Ability to interpret plans and engineers’ drawings
  • Understanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards
